A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a particular mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you delete an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the exact same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you are running some company, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited messages, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filtering software in order to get only real emails in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

In case you have a shared web hosting plan with us and you want to activate the catch-all option for a specific e-mailbox that you’ve got in the account, it will take literally just one mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created under any domain hosted in your account. You can select one email address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will enable the feature immediately, so all messages sent to misspelled email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button once more will disable the catch-all feature. In case you have activated email forwarding, our system will display a warning note and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature until you delete the forwarding or you can simply select another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server package that we offer will permit you to create a catch-all e-mailbox without effort even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be next to each email address that you have set up using your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you have already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you do not want this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
