When the .NET generic Top-Level Domain was first introduced in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the World Wide Web, it was supposed to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure entities. Given the fact that there were no specific conditions about the usage of the top-level extension, though, .NET domains were registered and used for diverse purposes and by many people. This TLD is a great substitution for dot COM, especially if the necessary domain with the latter domain extension is not available for registration.
Getting a .NET domain name with our firm is a piece of cake and takes barely a couple of minutes, considering that we partner with an ICANN-approved registrar firm. You can book such a domain for a time interval between one and ten years, or, if you already have a domain, you can move it over to our company and we will renew it once the transfer process is done. Transfers are possible for all domain names, which are at least 60 days old, given that they are unlocked and that you have taken an EPP transfer key – security measures set up by the .NET Registry organization against unauthorized transfers. You can easily correct the WHOIS contact details of the domain through your Control Panel, or, if you wouldn't like this information to be visible at all, you can add a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to see your true contact information.
The dot NET TLD supports internationalized names, so you can choose whether you want to target a particular country or zone using a domain name in the regional language, or the global Internet community – using a generic English name.
.NET Domain Name Management with LenSoft
The Domain Manager user interface is an essential part of our Web Hosting Control Panel. As such, it is built to be straightforward and easy-to-work-with for both webmasters and hosting newbies. It features the full range of domain name settings, which means that you'll have complete control over your domain name's DNS and WHOIS settings. What's more, it will help you to control multiple domain names from the exact same place with ease - you aren't restricted to just one domain per Control Panel.
And, for people with a hosting account with us, you'll be able to perform both web site management plus domain administration tasks. You won't have to log into other Control Panels or switch interfaces.
